I am a visual artist living and working in the Northern Rivers region of NSW on Bundjalung Country.

I work with diverse media including sculpture, textiles, drawing, collage, photography, ephemera, and multiples. These are often combined in visually rich installations which are deliberately playful, often magical, at times surreal. I hope to invite a sense of wonder; that people viewing my work will be curious and intrigued.

I enjoy exploring an eclectic mix of subjects, which reveal the lost, forgotten, redundant or hidden. History, science, women’s craft and the natural world, especially birds and plants, are recurring themes. Gathering large amounts of information, images and objects through intensive research is always the starting point. This often involves investigating collections, both historical and contemporary, in archives and museums.

I have exhibited widely throughout Australia and the UK, where I lived from 1999 to 2019. Recent solo exhibitions include Science of Common Life, National Art Glass Gallery, Wagga Wagga (2024); Re-present, Northern Rivers Community Gallery, Ballina (2024); The Secret Life of Objects, Onespace Gallery, Brisbane (2023); and Re-collect, Grafton Regional Gallery (2022).

Whilst in England I exhibited with many regional, national and international organisations including: National Centre for Craft and Design, Lincolnshire (2017); National Trust (2017 & 2010); 17th Islamic Art Festival, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates (2014); Institute of Physics, London (2013); Milton Keynes Gallery (2009); Canary Wharf, London (2009); Natural History Museum, London and Tring (2007); Great Eastern Hotel, London (2005).

My work is represented in Arts Council England’s Art Collection; Leamington Spa Art Gallery and Museum, Warwickshire; Museum of Brisbane; St Albans Museum + Gallery, Hertfordshire; University of Hertfordshire Art Collection; and Wirksworth Heritage Centre, Derbyshire.
